Course Prerequisite – 

All students enrolling in our EKG Technician Course must hold an active American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification card before the start of class. Proof of certification is required at registration.

 How to Sign Up for an EKG Course 

1. Purchase your Desired Enrollment Group
2. The instructor will contact you to provide the mandatory information session 
3. Attend the Course 
4. Once you pass and your course has been paid in full, you will receive course completion documents (Transcript & Certificate) 

*For those selecting National Certification, Students will complete the additional study exams & resources and have an additional pass-off before being recommended for national certification.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED
Payment Deadline: Deposit required to secure your seat. Payment is due in full to receive the course completion documents 

 National Certification

Our Phlebotomy & EKG courses have now been Nationally Certified by the following agencies 

• AAH - American Allied Health
• NHA - National Healthcare   
• AMCA  - American Medical Certification Association 

Students can take 1,2, or all 3 National Certification Exams. National Certification will be an additional cost of $120-200, depending on the selected agency. Once national certification costs have been paid, and the prerequisite  Nurse Mom and Family course exam has been passed, students will gain access to study resources and materials to adequately prepare for their selected agency’s national exam. The National Certification exams will be administered in class and proctored with Nurse Mom and Family.

• As it stands, the State of Georgia does not require that phlebotomists and electrocardiography technicians have licensure or certification to work in the state. 
• National Certification: This course will serve as a prerequisite for national exams for Phlebotomy and EKG certification.  Once completed, students will be eligible to sit for the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam or the Certified Electrocardiography Technician (CET) exam.  
• Students who successfully obtain the phlebotomy and/or EKG certification can apply for work in clinical laboratories, hospitals, MD offices, home care, or other healthcare facilities. Although hourly wages are not a guarantee, entry-level pay for these technicians in the Metro Atlanta area is between $14- $21 per hour.
