Certified Medication Aid Renewals

If you're already a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Georgia, a renewal helps you keep your certificate up to date so you can keep working and giving medicine safely.

UPDATES TO CMA RENEWALS 

• Renewal Without expiration -  $40 - For those who need to renew but have NOT expired yet 
• To qualify for this type of Renewal, you must have worked in an nursing home or assisted living facility for at least 1 8-hour shift in the last year. You should be able to produce a W2 or documentation as proof. 
• Renewal  WITH expiration (under 1 year) - $150 + $27 state certification fee- If you have been expired for less than a year, you can come in and retest (we recommend checking our scheduled classes and see if that works with your availability; otherwise, email info@nursemomandfamily.com to schedule) 
• Renewal WITH expiration (over 1 year)  - $275 - Once a student has expired over a year, they will need to retake the course and sit again for the certification exam

Assistance with Renewals - an Additional $35 

Students who qualify for a $40 renewal, we can provide assistance with the remaining processing  portion (uploading the checklist and paying the state recertification fee) 

Step 1: Submit the Renewal Request Form Submission 

Step 2: Instructor Correspondence & Fee Payment

After your submission is received, an instructor will contact you to:

• Confirm your eligibility for renewal
• Provide instructions to submit your renewal fee 

Step 3: Once Payment is received, you will process your Renewal and pay your State Certification Fee

An email will be provided to you with the next steps for processing your renewal on the state website.

Renewal pricing can be applied to full course tuition if the student is ultimately required to re-take the course.
