Certified Medication Aid Renewals

If you're already a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Georgia, a renewal helps you keep your certificate up to date so you can keep working and giving medicine safely.

UPDATES TO CMA RENEWALS 

• Renewal Without expiration -  $40 - For those who need to renew but have NOT expired yet 
• Renewal  WITH expiration (under 1 year) - $150 + $27 state certification fee- If you have been expired for less than a year, you can come in and retest (we recommend checking our scheduled classes and see if that works with your availability; otherwise, email info@nursemomandfamily.com to schedule) 
• Renewal WITH expiration (over 1 year)  - $500 - Once a student has expired over a year, they will need to retake the course and sit again for the certification exam

 Step 1: Submit Renewal Request

Send an email to nmfcmarenewal@gmail.com with the subject line:
Subject: CMA Renewal Request

In the body of the email, include the following:

• Full Name (First and Last)
• CMA Certification Expiration Date
  

After your email is received, an instructor will contact you to:

• Confirm your eligibility for renewal
• Provide instructions to submit your $40 renewal fee
• Assist with any questions regarding your next steps
  

Visit MMIS.georgia.gov and submit the required $27 State Certification Fee directly to the Georgia Department of Community Health.

 Certified Medication Aide Renewals are $40 ( State Renewal Fee not included)

Renewal pricing can be applied to full course tuition if the student is ultimately required to re-take the course.
