 How do I sign up for a course?

  • Each course has its own method.
  • Select "Attend a course" button at the bottom of your desired course screen to see how to sign up for that specific course. 

When is your location open? 

  • We currently are only open during class hours. Please stay tuned on our website as we will update our office hours once developed. 

Are deposits required? How do I know if my seat has been secured for the course?

  • Deposits are not required for any of our courses. Once you have paid your course balance in full your seat has been secured. 

How do I reschedule my course?

  • Submit a course reschedule via this email @info@nursemomandfamily.com. 

Payment methods - 

  • CMA course - CMA Course Afterpay 

Refund Policy: 

  • Refund requests will be accepted up until the start of the course. Once the course has begun no refunds will be allowed. 

Is there a Dress Code? Do I have to wear scrubs. 

  • There is currently no dress code for our courses. 



 Can I still take this course if I am not an active CNA in GA. 

  • No, This course requires that you must be an active CNA in the state of GA at the time you attend the course. 

How do I check the CMA registry to see if I am still active?

Once you have allowed 30 days for your information to show up you can follow the steps below:

  • 1) Go to mmis.georgia.gov (DON’T LOGIN)
  • 2) Click “Nurse/Medication Aide”.t6
  • 3) Click “Certified Medication Aide”
  • 4) Click “Search for Medication Aide”
  • 5) First try searching by JUST your Social Security Number. If that doesn’t work, try your first and last name.   

Please note you will not receive anything in the mail. 

  • If you have issues after waiting the 30 days and following the steps above, please contact me

How do I pay my state renewal fee?

  1. Go to MMIS.Georgia.Gov
  2. Click “Nurse/Medication Aide” in the tan bar at the top. (Don't try to log in)
  3. Once the page fully loads Click “Certified Medication Aide” under the yellow highlighted section. 
  4. Once the page fully loads Click “CMA Online Renewal form”
  5. Complete the CMA Online Renewal form 
  6. Once complete you will need to make your $27 State renewal payment on the same site. To do so follow steps 1-3 then click “CMA payment by Credit/Debit Card”
    1. And  Select  “Renewal” in the Type of Payment”

Do I have to take the course and pay again if my certification expires 

  • Yes, Per the State of GA, your Medication Aide certification (CMA) will expire when your Nursing Aide certification (CNA) expires. Once your CMA expires you will have to pay in full and repeat the course. If your CNA expires your CMA will become inactive. 
  • Be sure to keep your address updated with the state, they will send out renewal warnings a few months before you expire via mail. 

How to update your address change with the state

  • Call the state registry 678-527-3010

Can I take this course if I'm a CNA in a different state

  • Once you transfer your CNA license to GA you are eligible to attend a medication aide course taught in GA. 


 What should my AHA card look like? 

  • Sample AHA card -  AHA Sample Card 

What is the difference between BLS,ACLS & PALS?

  • Basic Life Support- is designed for the layperson meaning anyone can take it 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - is designed for healthcare professionals such as a nurse, fireperson, or EMT.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - is designed for healthcare professionals desiring to work in pediatrics. 

Do I have to get the book? 

  • No, However if you are looking for resources there is a study guide and manuals available via the AHA website.

Cost of your AHA card? 

  • $9.50 included in the price of your course and paid on your behalf
