Daphne Adams,RN
In 1988 I graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport with a BS in Communications. Not satisfied with my career, I started working on my dream job of nursing. I started as a Home Health Aide in 1995. Started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant In 1996. I became a licensed practical nurse in 1998 and a registered nurse in 2003. Most of my nursing career has been in Home Healthcare, Hospice, Nurse Staffing, Dialysis, and Mental Health. Needless to say I have experience working in many different settings. I started working as a Certified Medication Aide Instructor in 2019, as a sole proprietor for Nursemom and Family, LLC named by my daughter Cydni.

I became a graduate of Georgia State University in Fall of 2018. In undergrad, I joined a business fraternity and participated in business seminars that served as a catalyst for my finance savvy. From there I was on a journey to land in the right place to gain more practical experience. Post-grad, I furthered my knowledge by working a couple of finance job opportunities, even some in healthcare. Initially joining the NMF team started off as helping my mom here or there with the CMA classes. Being presented with the opportunity to work with her in a full-time capacity and in a position more suited to my interest has been an unexpected but promising continuation of my journey.

In 2020 I graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Pre- Law and a minor in Psychology. With the time spent at GSU as a student, I spent time in extracurriculars like the event programming board and NPHC which allowed me to acquire experience in business administration and leadership in a variety of ways outside of the studies of my degree. The onset of the pandemic in the middle of my senior year left my future unclear but the opportunity to work with my mom presented itself soon there after. After taking that chance we worked hard to establish a larger branding identity for what began as a forethought. This led to my step up to co-owner by 2021 and here we are many years later.

I am the CEO of Blitz Team Logistics LLC, I have trained 239 Dispatchers, 49 Agents, and 17 Brokers along with creating 22 LLC’s, 8 Authority with FMCSA, and 4 Broker Surety Bonds. along with getting them set up with starting their company to move their first load. I love logistics but I always knew the medical field would ever leave me with my love for people, my expertise in cannulating from your vein or even your dialysis access. I started my journey in the medical field in 2007 as a Medical Administrative Assistant. I knew that was just a start. In 2009 at DaVita Dialysis, I furthered my education and became a Peritoneal Dialysis PCT-Schedule all appointments for lab drawing, PET Test, and physician follow up, Phlebotomist- Blood sampling for laboratory analysis and packaging. My skills and experience grew rapidly, I became the expert cannular and the preceptor for our region covering 16 DaVita’s. In 200? I met Daphne, our CEO for NurseMom and Family LLC. I trained her in our systems and the DaVita Way. We combined our skills and knowledge we went from #14 in the region to #2 at DaVita Dialysis. We had a conversation in the office after a long day, “one day we were going to meet back up and start our own thing and work on our own time” here we are today Blitz Team Logistics LLC and NurseMom and Family LLC.
“Please place me at the bottom Because I KNOW with my SKILLS, I will meet you at the TOP”
